It is exactly...Elijah,

I think you missed my point. It is exactly the truths of the gospel that you mentioned that I am "for"? The question then becomes, what does being against global warming have to do with the gospel?Aaron D. Why are we screaming from the hilltops about everything we are AGAINST when half of it is stuff we are making up to be evil? Global warming?! Really?
Way to make us all look whacko. Personal thoughts are not great sermons, biblical truths are, and this is what happens when the church strays from that.
PeteAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23067594.post-1163700258629164072006-11-16T10:04:00.000-08:002006-11-16T10:04:00.000-08:00aaron, i totally agree with your points/rhetorical...aaron, i totally agree with your points/rhetorical questions. i heard about the movie and i was considering going to see it, but i figure i'd just be really mad after watching it.

the thing that i wonder is do the people in the movie realize that they're being looked down upon not only by the world but also by other Christians? and not because they're bearing the light, but because their behavior is embarrassing.

i was once watching an interview of a pastor who runs a "hell house". if you haven't heard of a hell house (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hell_house), it is a christian version of a haunted house that graphically depicts abortions, suicide, and homosexuality and then shows people being nabbed by demons and taken to hell. when the reporter confronted him with the absurdity, condemnation, and graphic nature of the whole thing, the pastor basically started thanking him for calling the hell house inappropriate.

anyway, that's kind of a tangent i guess. to quote aaron quoting mike meyers talk show lady character: "talk amongst yourselves".Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
