So the Warlords are just as bad and mysogynistic as the Taliban? Under the Taliban would this brave young lady be able to speak up as she did at the loya jirga? Or leave the country for America? Why do we believe that democracy is somehow a divinely approved system of government? Okay, America is screwing up in Afghanistan. What is the solution? If we leave what happens to women's rights? At some point the Afghans themselves have to want human rights for all and freedoms for all and may have to shed blood for this to happen. As imperfect as we are the US being there is probably the best chance the Afghan women will ever have to have a voice in their oppression.
